Well its officially two days into the New Year and I decided it is about time to assess my current situation before returning to the hectic schedule of life after holidays. Here is what I came up with:

Well rested and relaxed, check.
Worked lots to pay off christmas presents, check.
Good times with friends, check.
Advanced the many projects I wanted to start or finish, mostly not check.
Cleaned my room, definately not check.
Reviewed Japanese, definately not check.
Read all those books I wanted too, mostly not check.
Overall enjoyed the Holiday, Check.
Overall feels accomplished about holiday, not check.
Overall ready to go back to school, meh.

So where does this leave me as we approach the back to school date? Here I am really undecided. I am very glad to have had time to relax and enjoy some downtime and I think I probably needed it. But, at the same time I feel I probably should have done a little more around the house, especially stuff I won't have time for when school starts.

Overall, what this makes me realize is I need to get a little more motivated to tackle some of the important things I need to tackle. I think one of my problems is that I have a far too unrealistic list of things I want to achieve in a time table far too small to achieve them. Oh well, such is life. I think perhaps I will go relax some more.
